I have included a review that appeared in Civil War News. Barry Strohm has created a book of paranormal happenings at Gettysburg that is sure to generate a lot of conversation within the Civil War community. Drawing from his huge collection of photos, Strohm has included over 100 photos of orbs, mists and apparitions he has assembled over the years while visiting the battlefields of Gettysburg. He follows the three-day battle in an interesting narrative coupled with photos of paranormal activities at each key location. Some 22 chapters cover nearly all sections of the battlefield with descriptions and interpretations of what his photos have captured on film. Period maps illustrate sections of the battlefield. Paranormal activities have a huge following with highly watched television shows for viewers of all ages. Visitors to Gettysburg will often see camera crews from paranormal “reality” shows taping in town and areas around the battlefield. For those interested in these activities, this book has a reasonable price and will find a welcome place in their libraries. If you are curious about the unknown, this book might fulfill your needs.
